Panther Ballkids
This season, up to 50 kids will be selected from various grades and Paschal feeder schools to perform game night responsibilities at The Gus Bates Center. Panther Ballkids must be in at least 5th grade, display a good work ethic, have good grades in school, and have a great attitude.
Panther Ballkids responsibilities include:
Keeping the basketball floor dry throughout the game. Ball kid with help
During time outs
In between quarters
When directed by the referee or coaches
At Halftime (Get introduced by the MC)
How to Apply:
Ballkids must signup by emailing us the game desiring to volunteer at. (See VARSITY HOME game schedule and times highlighted below.)
BallKid Skill requirements:
Be physically able to stand/kneel for extended periods of time.
Be able to pass, bounce or roll a basketball the entire length of the court.
Be able to sweep the court during dead balls and game breaks.
Understand the rules and scoring of basketball.
Be a great listener and teachable.

Game night DEtails
All volunteers will be awarded volunteer service hours at the end of season that may be used for NJHS and other school volunteering needs. All of our volunteers will get to participate in the end of season HALFTIME COMPETITION.
Please have your son at THE GUS BATES CENTER (Paschal High gym on forest park blvd) no later than the specified time on the signup slot you volunteer for.
A Panther Basketball rep will be waiting for them and will go over the plans with them in before the game. Parents are welcomed to stay and watch, or drop off and pickup after. Volunteers will not have to pay an admission to be at the game.
PLEASE have your child wear one of these.
LONG SLEEVE SHOOTER SHIRT (e.g. their black long sleeve uniform) *Preferred*
White/Purple JERSEY
Ensure they wear good comfortable court-worthy shoes with NO EXCESS dirt on them!!
Any comfortable shorts/athletic pants are fine.
